Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell is an American TV personality who is a chef, and a an instructor from the Institute of Culinary Education. She's the host of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network and the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, a Food Network host who has spiky blond hair and an ebullient persona, shows how to cook restaurant-style dishes at home using simple methods. Chef Burrell is also a part of some of the top eateries located in New York, studied the food culture and culinary traditions of Italy and competed on the Food Network's Iron Chef America. As a child in Upstate New York Chef Burrell was attracted by the food. The Culinary Institute of America sparked her interest in managing restaurants when she received an English/Communications degree at Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was where I had the most fun time of my life. I could not study or accomplish enough. Following graduation, Burrell spent one year learning in the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners as well as working at the Umbrian restaurant La Taverna del Lupo as well as Tuscany's La Bottega del 30, which is a Michelin-starred establishment. In Italy the chef acquired an appreciation for and appreciation for Italian food. This had an enormous impact on how she views food. Burrell is an ambassador for the celebrity chef to the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation and was a part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which assists children with obstacles. She speaks about her cooking love and imparts her knowledge of the culinary world as she frequently goes on trips across the USA in both her roles as speakers and mentors. Anne has said throughout her culinary career she's grateful to be able to share what's essential to her.
