Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shevchenko, an Kyrgyzstani Muay-Thai fighter from Peru as well as a mixed martial artist who is fighting for in the UFC for the Flyweight Division is currently a Kyrgyzstani. Valentina Shevchenko who was a former UFC Flyweight titleholder, and UFC fellow fighter is her older sister. Antonina Shevchenko is an experienced Muay Thai kickboxer, began her fight sports career at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko won against Anissa with a unanimous vote after which she beat Valerie Domergue in Phoenix FC 4. She joined Dana White Contender Series 2018 following her departure from the competition. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina defeated Nievera by her impressive striking ability at the end of the fight with knees placed on her body. In the aftermath of this victory, Antonina was given a UFC contract. Antonina Shevchenko debuted in UFC in the TUF Finals TUF Heavy Hitting fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko was victorious by unanimous decision, but she was defeated in her subsequent fight with Roxanne Modafferi in a split decision. Antonina bounced back from losing to defeat Lucie Pudilova by choking her back in a rear-naked submission during the second round of UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned an extra fight in the night for this fight. Shevchenko has a record of 1-2 over her next three bouts she won against Ariane Lipski, while being defeated by Katlyn Clarkagian and Andrea Lee. Antonina was recently defeated by Casey O'Neill in UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
